How much is that Neo in the window?

As those of you who recently saw Lincoln (or, um, remember your American history) know, it’s against the United States Constitution to keep another human being in captivity for purposes of work. But that’s only if it’s against their will.

The League of Chicago Theatres is excited to launch December’s “Storefront Playwright Project” (based on a project originated by Micheline Auger), in which downtown passersby will have the opportunity to watch one of Chicago’s talented playwrights in the window at 72 E Randolph, at work on a new project. The images will be projected on a screen for people to read and consider and get excited about for the future.

The entire schedule can be found here, but we’re especially pleased to spotlight no fewer than four Neo-Futurists who will be putting their writing process on display for the gawking masses:

  • Friday, Dec. 7, 10 am – 2 pm — Tif Harrison
  • Saturday, Dec 8, 2-6 pm — Jay Torrence
  • Tuesday, Dec 11, 2-6 pm — Trevor Dawkins
  • Friday, Dec 21, 10 am – 2 pm — Greg Allen
Please stop by and check it out if you’re downtown shopping or sightseeing or whatever on those days! (Please do not tap on the glass. We can’t guarantee how the playwrights will react.)

You can do this, too.
