Intro to TML Returns January 5th!

One of our most popular 8-week workshops, Introduction to Too Much Light, comes back to The Neo-Futurarium on Saturday January 5th, led by Neo-Futurists’ Jay Torrence and Megan Mercier.

Intro mimics the actual weekly process of Too Much Light, allowing students to explore the methods and tools needed to create a 2-minute play in the Too Much Light style. You will examine specific play formulas and styles that recur on our stage; write from your own life experiences; and get the chance to apply staging techniques used by our ensemble that will equip your scripts with mind-blowing, low-budget, renegade-theatrics.

The class culminates in a student-written performance of 20 plays in 40 minutes – in our theater – with a live audience and everything! This is a great chance to see what it’s like to write and perform for Too Much Light, to sharpen your own writing and performance skills, and to do so in an inclusive and warm Neo way.
