Vivian Garcia

Vivian Garcia is the Manager of The 606 at the Chicago Park District. She administers operations, oversees programming and manages the private-public partnership with the City of Chicago, the Chicago Park District, and the Trust for Public Land.

Vivian initially joined the Chicago Park District as a summer camp leader for Arts.Xiii, a “tweens” arts camp in the summer of 2008. In 2010, after graduating from Brown University, she returned to the Park District as a Program and Event Coordinator to organize and create small- and large-scale events and programs in various city parks. She coordinated the Chicago Park District residency at the Family Fun Tent in Millennium Park, the Family Area at the Taste of Chicago, SummerDance in the Parks, and served as the Project Manager for Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks.

In 2014 Vivian was promoted to Program and Event Coordinator for Night Out in the Parks and subsequently planned and coordinated over 1,000 events for the 2015 season.
