Too Much Light House Manager

Position Description:
The Neo-Futurists seek a candidate to work in on-going rotation as House Manager for Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind, the longest running show in Chicago. House Manager is responsible for prepping the space for audiences, assisting with advance sales and group sales, making pre-show speeches, handing out audience tokens, assisting with wait lists and late seating, managing volunteers, assisting the Ensemble as needed and other duties of a House Manager as assigned by the Operations Manager.

 Candidate Requirements:
*Love of Neo-Futurism, familiarity with Too Much Light
*Customer service experience/comfortable interacting with Patrons
*Ability to multi-task
*Available for late night/weekend commitment
*Box office, house management and/or ticket software experience preferred

Job Responsibilities: 
*Providing excellent customer service to Neo-Futurist Patrons
*Managing crowds and handling wait-lists on sold-out performances
*Training/assisting volunteers with front of house positions
*Maintaining a clean & safe environment throughout the Theater
*Assisting the ensemble as needed
*Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager

Hours/Pay: 
Must work all 3 TML performances each weekend (Fri/Sat @ 11:30pm – Sun @ 7:00pm) arriving 90 minutes prior to performance.  The ideal candidate can commit to a block of 4-8 contiguous weeks with availability for at least 20 weekends throughout the year. Pay starts at $60 per weekend with an opportunity for a pay increase after 12 weeks of satisfactory performance. House managers create reports after the show has begun and may leave while the show is underway or have the opportunity to watch TML performances for free pending seats available.
