The Neo-Futurist Theater

SWITCHBOARD is a Neo-Futurist puppetry show about the S.S. Eastland disaster. The S.S. Eastland was a passenger ship commissioned to transport Western Electric laborers and their families to a company picnic on July 24th, 1915. Despite never leaving the dock, the Eastland capsized downtown in the Chicago River, resulting in the deaths of 844 passengers and crew members. SWITCHBOARD: Missed Connections from the S.S. Eastland is about power and memory, losing and forgetting. Opens February 8, 2024!
