Technician – Technical Operation for The Infinite Wrench

The Neo-Futurists seek Technician for their flagship show, THE INFINITE WRENCH — an ongoing, ever-changing weekly performance attempt. Consisting of 30 plays a night in only 60 minutes time, TIW persists in pushing the conventions of theater in the present day.

Job Summary:

The Technician executes all of the technical operations of The Infinite Wrench, in rehearsal and performance (this includes both light board and sound operation). This position works independently, as well as in collaboration with the performers. Applicants should be self-sufficient, proactive, and work well under pressure. With the random, chance-embracing nature of TIW, running the show presents a unique and fun challenge to the Technician; familiarity with TIW is encouraged for any applicants, but not required.

Availability must conform with the schedule laid out below.

Skill Requirements:

Some technical background is required, particularly in lighting/electrics. Familiarity with QLab is a plus.

Weekly Schedule:

Technicians are scheduled for 5-12 week runs, depending on scheduling needs. Consecutive weeks in a run are required.

Rehearsals: Tuesdays, @ 7p

Show calls: Fridays @ 9:30p (show at 11:30), Saturdays @ 10:00p (show at 11:30), Sundays @ 6:00p (show at 7:00)

Pay:
