The Neo-Futurist Theater

Andres Coronado is a performer, writer, director, dramaturg, and internet lurker. Since moving to Chicago from Texas, they’ve worked with a bunch of theatre companies including About Face Youth Theatre, The Conspirators, and Promethean Theatre Ensemble (where they are a recent ensemble member). They co-founded Break A Leg Laredo back in Texas, mainly producing children’s theatre, and the Sarah Street Collective, recently performing at the Elgin Fringe Festival. They are interested in queerness, anti-capitalism, Latinidad and diaspora, and communicating those ideas through comedy. They run a little Substack newsletter, have dabbled in being a teaching artist, and work in museum arts education.
