Darius (he/they) is a performer, vocalist, writer and deviser of performance. A native of Indianapolis, IN, he spent 15 years of his artistic life creating original plays and performance art in Cleveland, OH. As a teaching artist and member of the Cleveland CORE Ensemble, Darius has collaborated as performer/writer/deviser/director of more than four dozen original works and new plays. Having experience working with performers of all ages, training levels and backgrounds, Mx. Stubbs’ finds real meaning in creating work with community members with little to no performance experience who have a story to tell regardless. Darius enjoys making queer art for black folks, black art for queer folks and freestyling silly songs with his partner and child.
