Born and raised in Michigan, Eric Grant has been telling stories for stage and screen since he was eight years old. An award-winning playwright, producer, and director, Eric wrote for two sold-out shows at The Second City in Chicago as well as directing at Stage 773. In 2020, he cofounded Action Lines, a video production company, with Joffrey Ballet dancers Xavier Núñez and Dylan Gutierrez. Action Lines’ work has been seen across Chicago on installations like 150 Media Stream and the ABC-7 News Obelisk in the Loop. Beyond writing and creating art, Eric has been a marketing specialist for several top Chicagoland real estate groups. Eric plays the banjo and clarinet, is passionate about the Great Lakes and their lighthouses, and spends most of his time in Chicago finding new ways to support the artists he loves.
