With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit fundraising, Hilary currently serves as the Director of Development for Reading In Motion, an organization focused on improving early childhood literacy skills. Prior to that, she spent seven seasons at Chicago Shakespeare where she played a key role in raising funds to fuel the theater’s growth in service both within Chicago’s neighborhoods and around the world, and was proud to be part of the team that opened the company’s third theater venue, The Yard. Hilary has also held key administrative positions at Steppenwolf Theatre Company and the Strand Theatre in Shreveport, Louisiana. She has served on grant panels for the Illinois Arts Council Agency and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. In a previous life, Hilary was an actress. Now, her performing is limited to karaoke. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from Millikin University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Arts Practice from DeMontfort University in Leicester, England.
