Izzy is a Chicago-based AEA stage manager, sometimes sound designer and has been recently traveling the world with Pina Bausch’s The Rite of Spring/common ground[s] in collaboration with the UK’s Sadler’s Wells and Senegal’s École des Sables as company manager. Izzy holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota. Collaboration, experimentation and dancing are three things they love about the Neo-Futurists, but most importantly, Izzy is so excited to be working right around the corner from their house! They love trying and failing and then laughing about it, something they learned from their time working at the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis, MN and at The Second City. They get excited by dismantling traditional hierarchical rehearsal room structures in favor of a more collective model and developing new work, both scripted and devised. Additionally, they can be found baking elaborately complicated desserts and absolutely living for their daily fried egg on toast in the morning.
