Mat is from Massachusetts and is now a theater maker in Chicago. Mat likes the winter time because standing on an L platform in January waiting for a train that is delayed and bracing against the frozen winds makes him feel as though the vey act of living is an act of defiance. Mat doesn’t like the summer time because he gets very sweaty.
