Ri (they/them) is a performer and storyteller from Nashville, Tennessee. Ri uses ritual, embodied repetition, and Ethiopian traditional practices to explore grief, queerness, and womanhood (to name just a few things). Failure isn’t just about part of their journey – it’s the whole damn trip, baby! A lover of cold soups and board games, Ri spends their free time saving roly pollies from getting squashed on the sidewalk and making goofy faces at babies on buses. They, like most residents of the city, are happily married to Lake Michigan. In fact, they have written this bio on their way to dive into that very lake!
